Purchased from a dealer around mid '89 to work on my '87 325IS.
Complete shop manual for 3 series comes with two 4 ring binders because
it's just too thick to fit in one, and also Specifications microfiche
which has been cut in half to make reading on library reader much
easier.  Some pages of microfiche have been printed.  Cover page says
Supplement 6  3/89    BMW 318i-M3 US.   Manual covering  Engines Type
318I/A - US - E 30, BMW M 3 - Engine S 14 Z, and M 20 B 25/ B 27.
Engine electrical chapter lists Models 325 / 325 e / 325 es / 325 i / M
3 and '84/'85 and '86 models which I guess were different from '87-'89
Four types of manual transmissions and two automatics covered.
