Hello Everyone,
Please read this whole mail.. A few issues Does anyone know if that
"how to beat points" ticket scam really works. More power to it if it
really does! Any first hand experience?
About over-reving. My 95 325is has been over-revved 3 or 4 times
and it still runs fine. 1st time was a 5th to 1st, one other 5th to 2th,
and even a 2nd to 1st. I WAS NOT driving any of these time so no flames
about my driving abilities. Actually, girls were driving most of the
time!!!! Never again though. My point is: these engines are built
extremely tough and can usualy withstand the rigors of such abuse.
Likewise, it is near impossible to bend the valves because there is a
timing chain and NOT a timing belt on E36 M3 engines. Unless you
completely screw up like a 5th to 1st going 90 or something insane,
you're probably not going to mess anything up!! Sorry about your M3
though... Maybe it's time for a euro engine. Mike
Finally,
I am starting to have second doubts about my JC chip in my 95
325is. It has been doing some funny stuff. I'll change the oil (every
3K mls) with Mobil 1 10W-30 and the car runs incredible for 1.5K miles.
Then, out of nowwhere, back to being a slug like before it was chipped.
Has anyone had similar problems or know what is going on inside my
engine or computer. I don't like it because the car is NO FUN to drive
when it gets slow. However, as soon as I change the oil again, it runs
fine. Now, the car is NOT being abused by any menas but it is being
driven spiritedly! Any suggestions??? Mike.
