<E36>Rear door lock won't

Just started having a problem where the rear passenger side door lock will
not lock or unlock automatically, either with the key or when you push down
the door locks from inside.  The lock still works manually.

Any gurus like Steve D'. or Brett A. have any easy fixes to this or am I
gonna have to let the dealer (shudder) look at it?
