Strange Washing Problem

After I washed & waxed my 1995 318ti I parked it.  Later that day I went
to start it and it would not start.  Tried to start it a few times, then
I let it sit for a few minutes; tried again and it did start, albeit with
rough idle which soon smmothed out.  I remember reading something about
this in the Roundel, but I don't recall if there was a factory fix or
not.  Anyone else run into this?  I'll bring it up next time I'm at the
dealer but I probably won't be able to replicate the problem.
