E39 Exhausts

Subject: E39 Aftermarket Exhausts & Modified Factory Exhaust
What experiences have you all had with E39 (I've got a 540i) exhausts.
I've been trying to decide which one to buy, but I've heard too many
conflicting stories from the distributors of these cat-back exhausts.

For example, CEC told me that the AC Schnitzer exhaust would actually
increase HP/torque as compared to the Hannan exhaust which would cause
low-end torque loss and slower low-end speed (they say).

		I'm surprised CEC didn't mention Remus when you were shopping for an
exhaust.  Still expensive but probably half the price of the Schnitzer.
I've sold a few of these for E39 540i's.  Nice sound and good fit although
there is cutting involved.  Remus makes a nice system...the only complaints
I hear are price and many are heavier than the stock systems. SD
