88 535is/auto

need help!!!
one day when i drove to work, my trip computer suddenly went dimmed and
default back to kilometer instead of mile, i try to reset the trip
computer but nothing seems to happen and i have bee n driving without
the proper ligth in the trip computer for 1 year now. here are my
questions:
1) can the trip computer be fix!

2) does replacement of the computer chip helps solve my problems?

3) passenger seat doesn't come back up when being lower, and tilt,
replace the switch but problem persist, and won't be able to get the
seat back up:-(

4) when it rains, driver's side is flooded, with the sunroof and the
door shut, when is the leak?

i am a paraplegic and had the 535is/auto for 5 years now and i love it,
and i am consider to replace the bad parts with aftermarket performance
parts to keep it running at the top condition.  pls help me!
