RE: bad smell coming from exhaust

Hi,

There is nothing wrong with the car. Catalytic converter is producing 
the smell. The smell is due probably to the dry weather and probably you 
drove the car on high RPMs. I noticed that a lot of BMWs, especially 
E36s, produce bad (rotten egg) smell from exaust after driving the car 
above 4000rpms. It is normal and there is nothing to worry about.
