WOB: Fuchs: the last word (probably not)

My German-English dictionary lists the proper
pronunciation as "f[weird inverted omega
symbol]ks". The key lists the weird symbol sound
as the "u" in the english word "bull." So "Fuchs"
rhymes with "books" and "looks," which, depending
on what version of English you speak, may or may
not rhyme with the f word. It doesn't in the U.S.
(And ok, for Fuchs sake I was wrong about it
rhyming with "nukes.")
