Do I Have A Real Jim C. Chip?

I bought, what was advertised to be, a Jim C. chip for my '90 E32
several months ago from Mesa and now I'm wondering if  got the real
thing.  I don't recall seeing anything that indicated when the bogus
chips started appearing or how to identify them.  So does anyone out
there know how I can determine if I got a real Jim C. chip...(i.e. any
markings on it, etc)?
