Whistling Noise

Recently my '91 M5 has developed a whistling noise when I pull away in
1st gear.Once I am moving,the noise disappears.It sounds like a loose
belt-my question is why does it not make a noise when I am stationary
and rev the engine?Or has it got something to do with my clutch?
Any help will be appreciated.
