E30 M3 Relays

Hello,
The following is for the E30 M3. On the right side of the 
engine compartment, between the coolant reservoir and the 
firewall there are 2 (or 3) relays (they are hidden behind the
plastic cover). I removed the relay located in the middle 
(BOSCH, 40 amps ) and it was impossible to turn on the engine,
so I suppose that is the fuel pump relay, right?.
On the left (looking towards) of the first relay, there is another
one, without any specification. Its color is orange. I removed
it too (but with the first one mounted again) and this time the engine
started with a very rough idle and it almost stalled. I didn't like
this behavior, so I turned off the engine fast. Does anybody know
the purpose of this orange relay?
Also,on the right of the first relay, should be a third relay which (in my case)
does not exist. Does anybody Know the purpose of that relay?
