would appreciate info about '84-'88ish 325

I've had a '84 318i for 4 months now, and i love it, but being only 4 cyl,
it tends to be underpowered, especailly with a car full of friends.  It was
a gift/paid myself.  It had belonged to someone in the family who was
getting rid of it (they got a '97 7series), so i took it, price was really
reasonable, an di needed something that ran well right there.  I'm also a
teenager, and i leared to drive on a 6 cyl ford truck, and a 8 cyl dodge
ram van, so dropping to 4 cyl, is quite a change, especailly when fully
loaded, which it is most of the time.  I'm going to be in the market for
about a '84-'88 325, 4 door.  I would appreciate some info on them, i.e.
which engine, E or I, and anything else useful.  I would also then be in
the market to spruce it up, shocks, springs, &tc.  Something i've decided
not to do on a 318 (just not logical)
