<E36 M3> LTW oil pan and oil separator?

Hi digesters,

I recently had the LTW Oil Pan installed in my 1995 M3.  I had the work
done at a local performance shop (Midwest Motorsport) and we noticed
that the LTW Oil Pan kit does not include an oil vapor separator.
Midwest has a spare LTW engine and we could see one for comparison.  To
complete the install we capped off the return nipple for the separator
on the oil pan.  Does anyone have any musings on the value of the Oil
Separator?
