88 535i problems

I own a 88 535i and am having a engine problem.  As I acclerate under 
load the engine seems to miss around 2500 and then around 3000.  I 
almost seems as if it is not getting fuel.  I have replaced all vacumme 
hoses, distributer cap and roter, spark plugs (the good ones), changed 
the fuel filter, new spark plug wires, the valves are properly adjusted.  
I just can't figure out what the problem is.  Any commments/help would 
be great.
