E46 M3 rumors and a unique use of the ///M badge

Well, by bud Warren returned from Hongkong, brought back an English car mag
called "CAR".
There was an article about the E46 M3. They claim that the coupe will be
available in spring '99, then a convertible about a year later, and
possibly an M3 touring. They said there definetly would NOT be a 4 door E46
M3. 
On the subject of "M", I was at the bookstore looking through another
English mag, "Max Power" and saw a very unique use of an "M" badge. On the
back of a Volkswagon, someone had taken two "M" badges, cut one to make a
"V" and used the other to make a "W". They kept the stripes on, so it
looked like "VW\\\".
