E30 radio amp

Hello, I have just installed a Alpine CD player in my '87 325is. I need
to know how to bypass the factory amp. The radio cuts out when you play
it at a loud volume or turn the bass or treble up to normal volume. My
local car audio store told me they have seen this before on E30s. They
were going to charge me $95 to bypass the amp. So Could someone Please
