<E36> M3 front plate/misc
My dad's 95 M3, purchased new by him, does not have a place for a front
license plate. The car is in Chicago, which requires this. Motorwerks
in Barrington claims the only way to add the plate is to drill holes in
the front bumper and slap on a generic plate bracket. There's got to be
a better way, but what is it? Did his car somehow arrive without the
standard plate bracket?
My 93 325is has occasional idle problems, especially when it's cold with
the AC on. It dips to the mark below 1000rpm, which looks like 400rpm,
then rises, dips, ... After a few minutes its stable. I would think
idle control valve, but it doesn't always do it. It has 62k miles.
Could a faulty oxygen sensor do this? Why would the AC make it happen
more frequently? Come to think of it, it's more frequent when I pull out
of the driveway, which is sloped, than when I start from a flat surface,
given the car is equally cold.
I changed the pads this weekend to Axxis MM from Pagid. Brett A.'s
website said I would lose braking efficiency until they pads and rotors
'groove' with each other. Quite true, much more than I realized. How
long before this goes away?
TIA,
Chris
