E28 - Shake, Rattle and roll

Does anyone have any experience diagnosing and removing squeak's and
creaks from the interior of the E28?  Specifically I have had a noise
that seems to eminate from the B pillar (I guess that's what it's
called, it's the post between the front and rear doors).

I think Rob Levinson once mentioned this problem and that he had fixed
it.
