<all> globs of tar on tires

greetings-

after parking my car in someones driveway last night, my front tires
"stuck" to the driveway, and pulled up some crack patch or something.

I pulled off what I could, but its really in the treads.  It drives
terrible obviously-like there is a huge flat spot.

Should I just rotate them to the back?  Will tar remover work on tires? 
These tires aren't that old, so replacement would be the last step.
