Hello,  everyone.

I was driving home last night and noticed that my auto tranny on my '94
325i had begun to shift very roughly into third gear.  The only stress
that I could think of being put on the tranny was a downshift to pass a
truck on the interstate about 15 minutes prior to me noticing the
phenomenon.  Oddly, it only does this during the shift into third gear,
whether in auto or manual mode.  The car is past the four-year warranty
limit, but only has 23k miles on it.  My knowledge of the workings of
auto trannys is very limited, so I would really appreciate any thoughts
or insights on what may have gone wrong before I visit the dealer.
