E30 WIPERS THAT NVER STOP!

Help !

With three E30's of various years and models in my stable, I have 2 where
the wipers never shut off . I have cleaned and checked the contacts in the
wiper motors, and replaced the big relay in the fuse box. The problem went
away for a while , and now it is back. Replacing the relay will make them
work properly , but at $35.00 per relay every 2-3 months this is ridiculous ! 

Has anyone else found a solution?
