M3 at the Drag Strip

Have any of you taken your M3 to a drag strip and ran the 1/4 mile?

I did it, and couldn't keep the tires from lighting up. Once they
did, I couldn't put the power down at all. They were way to hot ....even
spun in fourth. I need lot's of practice. It's much different than the street.
I thought it would be stickier. I think I did run through water before the
run.

Please spare us the M3's aren't drag racer's stuff....etc

I just want to hear from the people who actually have 1/4 mile times for
their M3's.
