John,
To pull up the back seat you've got to give a firm upward tug in front
of each of the rear passenger seats. In other words, if you were
sitting in the back seat behind the driver, reach down between your legs
and grab the lower rail of the bench seat. Pull up hard! Do the same as
if you were sitting behind the front passenger. After pulling both
sides up, pull the whole seat forward until it is completely out of it's
hold. You'll find the battery under the right rear seat. "Sharked"
means that you have installed a Jim Conforti engine management chip in
the car. I have not heard of a separate transmission chip for BMW
automobiles. From the testimonials I've heard on the digest, the Jim C.
is definitely worth every penny! Although there are a few Dinan fans
out there, I would say the general consensus is with the Jim C.. Good
luck!
