DON'T buy a 1 piece nose mask.  You cannot get it tight enough to keep it
from flapping at highway speeds.  I got one dirt cheap and quickly found out
why.  Can't speak to the 2 piece covers, but I've learned to live with the
stone chips and bug guts.  You can't see them from the driver's seat.
