225/55R15



Steve,

you don't say why you don't want to go back to the Pilots in
225/55R15... They are really good on that car, very well matched.

Going to 16" is quite costly, and won't change your car throughout. As
far as going to 18" as Bill suggested, that's a mistake IMHO, unless
you don't care at all about comfort and are happy stressing your
suspension mounts and ready to change your springs/shocks as well...
Further, the tire cannot carry the load of your car...

If you're ready to commit the money, 17" should be the best
compromize... a 225/45-17 is not too far off, and will carry the load,
but might look small... Choose a not so sportive, not too quick tire
(Dunlop type, or BFG) rather than a powerful quick tire (Michelin
Pilot) to match the response build up of the tire with the speed and
inertia of your car (unless you get a harder suspension).
