<Z3> Current Market Conditions

In n. 249 I stated that one of the 5 BMW dealers in the Washington, D.C.
Metro area had 20 Z3's on the lot.  As of 9/26/96 this same dealer now has 22
on the lot after the arrival of 5 new cars.  Twelve of the 22 cars are black.
 In the balance of 10 there are 6 artic silver, 2 boston green, 1 red and 1
dark green.

This situation certainly suggests that the Z3 is not moving as quickly as we
might have thought, and as I mentioned previously, I do not see anyone
offering MSRP for any of the cars given that there are 22 on the lot,
especially a black one.

Is this situation unique?  I would like very much for those of you around the
country to share with us the supply side stats on the Z3's in your area as I
would really like to know what the current market price should be.
