<E30 M3> Track wheels/tires

Uhh-ohh. Here goes a can of worms.

I want to get some track wheels for my E30 M3, and run some R rated tire
on them (probably BFG R1's). I just got off the phone with Tire Rack and
they didn't have anything in a 16" or 17" wheel that they would
"reccomend" to me. The problem that we ran into wasn't getting wheels or
tires but getting wheels+tires that would fit without rubbing (according
to their database). 

I've seen 15"-17" combos at the track on my type car. What are you E30
M3 owners running? Did it require a spacer? Does anyone have some used
ones they will sell me? I don't want to spend more that ~$200 per wheel
(tires being extra of course).
