<E34>  535i vs. 530i

Hey all you E34 types.....

I am thinking about getting a '90 or so 535i but was wondering about the early
E34 530is.  How much of a horsepower difference is there?  I want to start
with the best platform for drivers schools, etc. and need some advice.

I think my best bet will be the 535i because the engine has been around
forever, and I know about the problems with high-sulfur gas in the V8s.

Oh, and BTW, what does one of these beasts weigh?
