Yes, Stebro is one of the exhausts out there for your car. Actually, the
owner of Stebro once had an E28 M5 in Toronto, which was stolen (long
story, but the moral is, cover your dash VIN with black electrical tape so
no one can easily make a key for it and take your car on a permanent joy
ride). Quality seems reasonably good. There are other manufacturers, such
as B&B, etc. But many negative comments have been pushed around recently,
so you should really get a second opinion on aftermarket mufflers for
M5/M6's.
Going on to the euro muffler. Nice setup. Touch louder, Lighter than stock
(you wouldn't believe how heavy the stock setup is). The good news is that
the price of the can is about 1/2 of a US muffler (or near that). The bad
news is, euro cars had resonators in place of where we have catalysts. You
basically have to install the resonator and muffler together to make it
work. At least, this is what I have understood from those who have done
this.
No matter how you slice it, it's about $6-700 bucks.
Note the Stebro kit is NOT T304 completely. Talk to Stebro directly and
convince yourself that this is good. I thought the Stebro stuff looked
nice and the folks had half a clue. BUT I don't own one, so, YMMV.
