I HATE to say it but you can't have a German Champagne - the Frenchies have a claim to the name - the rest of us can just have sparkling wines of one sort or another. That's not to say that a good German one wouldn't do the switches (or drivers) some good! Why not try a good brandy (not Cognac - see above) but we have some very fine ones here in South Africa. DaveE. On second thoughts maybe the drivers should have that too - when they get home!
