<e28> '88 M5 For Sale - $14,330
I've agonized over buying this car for the past 10 days, but had to give up on
it because I'm car-rich and cash-poor at the moment. I've gotten my deposit
back, and it's back on the market. Details below:
This car is fast! (My first experience with an M5...)
Completely stock
67,000 miles
Appearance is a strong 8.5-9.0
No evidence of accidents
Runs extremely well (I drove it for more than 200 miles in varying conditions)
Brake pads and rotors replaced at 60K miles
Professionally serviced at an independent BMW specialist
OK Michelins, maybe 10K worth of tread left.
Good clutch (suspect the slave cylinder needs replacement, requires a bit more
oomph than I'm accustomed to)
Power headrests work(!)
Leather in very good shape, no cracking
All electrical stuff checked thoroughly and works, with the exception of the
cruise control.
Tool kit is complete, even has the towel in it
Engine bay is immaculate
Did I mention that this car is fast?!
Courtesy Inspection (at my expense) by the Master Tech. at the local dealer
revealed only 4 items that need attention, everything else is rated "Very Good".
The items that need attention are:
"Small oil leak at front of motor"
"Flex joint at transmission cracked"
"Heat Shield around A/C compressor missing"
"Thrust rod bushings worn"

Disclaimer - I have no affiliation with this dealer and have nothing to gain
from the sale of this vehicle, I'd just like to see this car go to the right
kind of home (I'm heartbroken it's not going to mine).
