Coolant Smell from Heater

Got a good one for you all-

Last spring I had an upper radiator hose split and I spotted coolant on
several spot inside the engine compartment, which I prompty cleaned.  Ever
since, when I run my heater, I get the distint smell of coolant ... When
the hose split, did collant get in my heater core?

Any way to get rid of this smell?  I have no cooling system problems to my
knowledge.
