A4 vs 328is
With regards to the A4 vs 328 discussion -- one of the best things to read is
the Road and Track article reprint available at any Audi dealer -- this is an
excellent article that clearly defines each car's strengths/weaknesses. The
article makes an excellent case for both cars, read it.
If you want the car with the "nicer" interior, get the A4, if you want the
car with the "smoother" ride, get the A4. If you want with more wood trim,
get the A4.
If you want the car with the more refined, more powerful engine 12
valve/174hp vs 24 valve/190hp, get the bimmer, if you want the car that is
stiffer, more agile around turns, get the bimmer. If you want the car with
the crisper manual tranny, get the 328's M3 gearbox.
The bimmer is much more expensive, and totally worth it.
