<E36> BMW Factory Alarms

After the talk on the digest about the plug for the hood switch for the alarm,
I went out and tested alarm... guess what, the hood switch is not connected! I
suggest all of you go out and check that the hood and trunk sensors are
connected. (Just open the hood and arm the alarm, doors & trunk closed. If the
alarm does not complain, call your dealer and complain (a/the benefit of paying
extra to get the alarm from a dealer))

What does this indicate about the service departments ability to work on the
car - They did the last oil change and didn't put in enough oil, that is 2
strikes - do I go for 3?
