Speeding Tickets
Hey, let's be realistic; speeding tickets are just an easy way for
the police to generate funds for their respective towns, or states.
The game of hiding in bushes, and manpower used to "catch" the
speeders, is a sad commentary on how the law works here in the
states.Hundreds and thousands of dollars, spent on nabbing people
who go over the out-dated speed limits. If they spent as much time,
money and effort, weeding out the bad drivers, ones who don't signal,
or travel in passing lanes at or below the limit, driving would
improve. I have yet to see a cop pull over the car that's creating
the back-up, it's always the speedtraps they set up. I'm sure you
have all been stuck behind some idiot who's slowing everyone down.
A far as the officer who claims it takes 15 mph over the limit for
him to issue a summons, I don't think you represent most of your
fellow officers. For most I have known, or met, it's a power trip. To
know that you are feared and control the power over motorists is a
rush for most cops. You may own and appreciate BMW's, but a lot of
cops are red neckers, flag waving, anti-foreign car spotters. What
a pleasure it is to pull over some affluent owner of a bimmer, and
ruin his day with a summons.Buy american next time, and you may get
off. Large mirrors? Please, at night, what's the difference when you
are getting paid to sit in bushes, stopping awful crimes of
speeders!! Instead of having police at rest stops, so you can "go in
peace", the force is out there generating money, to keep the cycle
going.Catch the car on an empty road going over the limit.
Thanks, I feel better. Just get a good radar detector, keep your
eyes open, and let someone else speed ahead of you. Most of all,
good luck. They are out there trying to get you....
