Jonathan,

I am EXTREMELY glad to read your message; I share your exact symptoms. In
fact, I also just recently upgraded to new wheels. I have 17" wheels with
215/45 D40M2's *as well*, and ALSO have noticed a DRASTIC increase in how
affected the steering gets against road grooves, dividers, etc. I believe
that all the E36's (at least the early ones) are sensitive with road
grooves, but after upgrading to the D40M2's, driving can get pretty
uncomfortable -- especially with all the crappy rsoads in the San Francisco
area. I am also greatly concerned about this problem.

Any added words?
