Fixed Squeaky doors on E36 Sedan

I had the problem with the squeaky doors on my 94 325i. My dealer
wasn't too keen on the Teflon tape fix because of the appearance
problems. He tried that German gummiflage goop which didn't help at
all. He ended up ordering _many_ door clips which he replaced and now
my door seals are quiet. The only squeaks now is the leather/vinyl on
drivers seat side bolster rubbing on the rear of the center console.
The part numbers for the clips were 36 of 5121-8-161527, 20 of
5141-8-122408, 20 of 5121-1-977747. All these part numbers might not
apply as I am reading them from the parts order card sitting in front
of me which was for a number of different jobs. The service receipt is
somewhere at home. If your dealer looks at you like your crazy when you
mention this I could give you my cars VIN and maybe your dealer can pull
up a more precise description of what was done on my car. It was very
effective. I am very satisfied.

Yesterday I tried to start my '96 328i. ..................squeaky door
seals (partly solved with ugly Teflon tape), various other minor
problems and now this. I can only hope the next three months are better.
