Sticker removal - successful !!

Thanks to all who sent me advice and ideas about removing stickers. The
hairdryer worked fine, the sticker is gone, and I have five broken finger
nails from chipping at the sticker.

The sticker which was about 4in x 4in ( I can't believe people put things
like that on their cars!) I took me about 2 hours, the hairdryer was quite
well behaved, but the sticker would come off in pieces the size of an ant's
scrotum (OOPS! Maybe that was rude) I removed the glue with methylated
spirits. Once the methylated spirits has evaporated, you can wipe/wash the
lead deposit(thin white haze) with a cloth. I can still see where the
sticker was, but hopefully with a bit of polish, I can remove the effects of
the sun and glue.
