o'fest Concours Review
To anyone interested:
I was able to sneak off from work and check out the Concours in Mclean, VA
at the
o'Fest last week. Must have been about 50-60 of some of the finest BMW's around.
The E30 M3 was arguably the most popular ride around, followed by the E36 M3.
There were 3 or 4 320i's from the early 80's that were gorgeous. They
appeared to LOOK totally stock, except for some slightly larger, classy
wheels...one had that classic BBS three piece rim..the one with the rivets
around the circumference. Highly polished, but not really chrome. That
particular BBS rim must be at least 10 years old now, but STILL looks
great..has never gone out of style. BBS and TSW (EVO and
Hockenheims)seemed to be the most popular aftermarket rim. Several 2002's
were sporting the 14inch alloy from the E30 3 series. Looked updated, yet
nicely stock.
Appeared to fit perfectly. One 535is had the stock rim from the 850i. Dont
know the style or model number, but not the crooked 5 spoke rim..the plainer
one...but looked very nice on the 5 series.
All in all, a great event...
