I'm with your dad!  I have seen an aftermarket on a 2002 that was very
successful but the best idea is to use factory stuff.  For this, start with
a 3.5 liter (eg 535, 635, 735 and add the 745 turbo as it was designed by
BMW.  They have deeper pockets than any after-market system, don't
over-engineer it and design it for the long haul.

IMHO, FWIW....

Now, if you are insistent on turboing a 325, call Corky Bell (I think the
company name is CARTECH) in San Antonio.  He has designed such a system and
knows his stuff.....
