Hello bimmerphiles

Does anyone out there have any idea how much horsepower a modified e30 M3 
engine can produce? I have seen the advertising on the Turner Motorsports
page about their 2.5l conversion but what is the horsepower?
What sort of engines were used for racing and is there an M3 Evolution 
that was produced for the road?
I intend to transplant an e30 M3 possibly a modified one into a 2002.
I am just trying to figure out what sort of potential does that engine have.
