A/C still broken

Thank you for the help with my A/C, but it is still down.  I took apart the
fuse box and found the melted insides.  I replaced the charred parts and
still get no blower with the A/C switch activated.  

As a recap (for anyone who missed my orig, but wants to help a poor soul):
The external blower functions until the A/C compressor is engaged by the
switch, at which point all fans stop moving.

Any help is appreciated, I am stumped.
