high output alternator for 02?

    I recently purchased a newly remanufactured alternator for my 02 from
Bimmer Parts Company.  I had the alternator tested today and was surprised
to find out that it is only a 35 ampere alternator.  Is that possible?  I
thought that the stock U.S. version alternator was 55 amperes? I was
wondering if anybody has done a conversion to their 02 wherein they put a
bigger alternator (70 amperes or more). Are there other BMW alternators
that would also bolt on to an 02?

        Below are the accessories that I plan to put or are already
installed in the car. What amperage would be enough for the items below if
they were all used together?

        1.      Air conditioning
        2.      Halogen headlights (100W each)
        3.      Foglights (100W each)
        4.      Auxiliary fan
        5.      Stereo w/ CD changer and 50 watts x 4 amplifier
