It might still get better. Even so, it's far from excessive, and
BMW would consider it normal. I don't have the spec for the 318ti,
but my E12 Repair Manual lists maximum oil consumption of
0.15 liter per 100 km, or about 394 miles per quart. I would be
ecstatic if my cars used as little oil as yours does.
