<< Hi -
I just saw an interesting car up on Clearwater Beach. It was An E30
convertable but not a factory rag top. It was more like a targa. It looked
like a hard top conversion. there was "TC BAUR" on the B pillar. The car
was badged ///M3 but it had no fender flares. anyone know about these? It
 looked pretty cool.
What happens if the cops pull you over and registration says 3xx but the
car is sporting ///M? Just a thought.

I think I saw that car about 5 years ago on a visit to Clearwater. Wasn't
impressed, but obviously it was memorable.

Regarding the police question. As a founding member of the FOMP (Fraternal
Order of ///M Police) I will qoute from Article 1 section 1 of the FOMP by
laws.

"Any vehicle not originally shipping from the hallowed BMW factories with a
///M badge but having a ///M badge applied by some miscreant will: 1) owner
will be ridiculed mercilessly by all members of FOMP, 2) owner will be
required to buy the FOMP lodge house a lovely shubbery, something with a nice
bi-level effect*........... 3) FOMP will start a never ending thread on M
badges 4) FOMP will car jack the faux ///M car and wash the offending car's
windows with Bon-Ami and wax the car with the "fake" Zymol. (kindly supplied
by our bretheren in FOZP)."

cheers
