I'm at the point where I'm not sure if I should keep my BMW any longer.
These are expensive toys !!! I have just completely rebuilt the engine on
this puppy and now there is word the the fuel distributor needs to be
replaced. I've talked with a few different mechanics about this and most of
them say that it's very rare to do this ... anyone have any feed back ?.........
ANSWER:   It is unusual to need this replaced.  But if you need one I have
extras that you can have for the price of shipping.

ASKS:
 I also am driving around in a 4 speed and want to replace it with a five speed
... is that a good idea and would it be worth the effort .... HELP
ANSWER:  I am getting around 27 MPG at 70+ on the highway with my 79 320i w/ 5
speed.  Love the lower RPMs.
