I've seen a few recent posts re scanners. I'd like to hear form anyone using
a Bearcat. I've tried one and it appears to me that there are two problems:
- - New York State Police don't use the repeater the Bearcat uses to home-in
You drive past cruisers with no signal from the Bearcat;
- - Every other Police Dept does use the signal
The thing goes off at every overpass and every exit
I've found the thing good for occasional amusement only.
