  That was an excellent piece!  You should submit that to your chapter 
  newsletter, and/or the Roundel.  That's one of the best examples of 
  craftsmanship that I've read: the care you took to protect the hood with 
  the feeler gauge, drilling with successively larger bits -- even down to 
  using a little grease on the bits to catch the filings!
