Faded Paint

Hi everyone - 

I'm new to BMW ownership and to this list so I apologize in advance if this
question has been previously addressed.

I have a 1995 M3 with 14K miles. The paint - black metallic - is dull and
lacks depth even after cleaning with Zymol HD Cleaner and polishing with
Zymol liquid. Unfornately, I'm a day late in reading the following
informative message from Phil Marx:

Next time I'll know but.... is there a consensus among you as to which
treatment(s) are the best for:

1) Black finishes in general
2) Restoring "depth"
3) Protection from: sun, acid rain (water spots).
