I'd like to know this too. (The big quality difference that is) My 
88 turbo chrysler has had one electric window malfunction, same as 
my turbo BMW, but the Chrysler has never lost a power steering pump 
that wipes out a pressure regulator for $1000 like the BMW, and if
it did I could fix it for $100.
